Snacks for Soldiers
Each year, we host two collection programs for deployed troops. Annually, from September 11 through November 11, our Hero Tree collection begins. The Hero Trees are displayed in local businesses, schools, fraternal organizations, restaurants and offices. Each tag on the tree has a gallon reusable bag attached with a list of personal hygiene supplies and essentials needed.
Once the bags are collected, they are delivered to Blue Star Mothers chapters in our service area and through our partnership with Operation Jersey Cares (OJC) in NJ, the bags are shipped to deployed troops at the holidays on our behalf.

Our "Snacks For Soldiers" collection is hosted annually during the month of February. Snacks and other "goodies" are collected at participating businesses in Florida and Maryland. Area Blue Star Mothers chapters and our partnership with Operation Jersey Cares in NJ, generously ship the snacks to deployed troops.
